Resorts World Genting Outdoor Theme Park to make way for the Worlds First 20th Century Fox Theme Park!

The Genting Group is investing RM400 million to build a 20th Century Fox theme park in Resorts World Genting, featuring 25 movie-based rides and attractions, that will open in 2016. Due to this, the aging Outdoor Theme Park Attraction that is currently up on Genting Highlands will be closed from September 1st 2013 onwards to facilitate the construction of the new park.

In addition to this, a RM3bil Resort World Genting refurbishment programme will take place over the next few years, which includes the construction of an additional 1,300 hotel rooms adjoining the First World Hotel.

Resorts World Genting has been operating for more than 40 years, and they keep upgrading and expanding their resort to keep up with the newer and swankier resorts in Singapore and Macau. One distinct advantage Genting enjoys is its cool weather throughout the year, averaging about 18 degrees Celsius.
